  • Nature Walk

This is a termly event where children visit places near the school to familiarize themselves with their immediate surroundings. This includes the Post Office, market, Chief’s  Office, Police Station and Kasuitu dam.

  • Educational Trips
  • Educational Trips

Educational trips offer opportunities for a rich experience and an exciting way of learning. During trips the pupils have a chance to experience and explore a higher level of learning.

We normally hold our trips in the first and second term; the children attend trips in two groups. The preschool focuses on learning and fun activities. The primary section trip focuses on the educational experiences. Some of the places we have visited are Wilson Airport, David Sheldricks, Lord Egerton Castle, Latia Resource Centre.

  • Heart To Heart Run

We fully participate in this worthy cause through our financial contribution and the run. This year our school was well represented.

The Heart To Heart foundation is a Kenyan medical charity dedicated to the control, treat and ensure heart disease prevention in Kenya among children. The Heart to Heart foundation was established in 1993 under the trustee’s act of the laws of Kenya. The Heart to Heart foundation aims to provide support and access to curative services for children below 18 years with heart ailments whose parents are unable to afford treatment as well as disseminating knowledge on prevention of heart diseases countrywide.

  • Sports
  • Sports

One of the major events in this department is Sports Day. This is an annual event that takes place in second term. We believe all work without play makes the pupils dull. Sports day provides an opportunity for the children to show their talents in various sporting categories.

The other event that the department closely monitors is weekly sports activities. The activities pupils participate in are selected at the beginning of the second term. This is done every Wednesday where the pupils, teachers and all other staff come dressed in full P.E. Uniforms and proceed to the field. The activities selected challenge the pupils both mentally and physically.

  • Swimming Club
  • Swimming Club

Swimming is an exciting activity that is offered at Moserene. It’s most active during first and third term. The rest of the time it depends on the weather conditions as during the rainy season no swimming takes place.

The swimming club patron organizes the pupils into two groups: the preschool, grade one, two and three swim in the school swimming pool, while class four, five and six pupils go for swimming at the public pool located near the school.

  • Scouts Club
  • Scouts Club

The scouts club is at the heart of leading the school in its civic duty to produce patriotic citizens.

Scouts take charge of assembly days (Mondays and Fridays) by leading the school in singing of the national anthem, making the school community aware of our civic duty to be patriotic citizens.

The scouts participate in annual events organized by the Kenya Scouts Association ranging from camps and environmental activities such as tree planting.

The scouts patron ensures all scouts adhere to the scouts code of conduct and guides them with the help of the Sub-county Kenya Scouts Association Head to participate in various Scouts activities in the country and nationally.

  • Debate Club
  • Debate Club

Debate days are exciting and fun. Debate takes place on Fridays every term of the year. The debate patron selects pupils that take part in any motion agreed upon.

Debates are conducted in English and Kiswahili in alteration

The debate club offers pupils a platform to improve their speech, vocabulary and get a better understanding of happenings in the society. The Kiswahili / English subject teachers are present during the debates to help and guide pupils to become confident speakers with good command of both languages.
